Injured sea turtles sent back to their natural habitat

Five sea turtles named Çınar, Fatih, Michelangelo, İfrit and İnci, have been sent back to their natural habitat following the completion of their treatment with efforts of the Meritta Sea Turtles Rehabilitation Centre.
According to a statement by the centre, three of the five sea turtles found injured by fishermen were sent off to the sea in Yeni Erenköy, while the other two rescued from the Kumyalı coast were sent back to their habitat.
“We are happy to release 69 sea turtles back to their natural habitats” Hande Tibuk from the Meritta Sea Turtles Rehabilitation Centre is cited as saying.
