The inauguration ceremony of the renovated office of the Civil Defense Organisation’s Lefke Regional Directorate was held today.
The newly opened office is the sixth directorate office of the Civil Defense Organisation.
President Ersin Tatar, Finance Minister Alişan Şan, Foreign Minister Tahsin Ertuğruloğlu, Labour and Social Security Minister Hasan Taçoy, Civil Defence Organisation Head Atilla Karaca, Lefke District Officer Sadi Güneş, Güzelyurt District Officer Savaş Orakçıoğlu, Lefke Mayor Aziz Kaya, Civil Defense staff and local people attended today’s inauguration ceremony.
In his remarks during the ceremony, President Ersin Tatar expressed his happiness to attend today’s inauguration ceremony of the renovated office of the Lefke Regional Directorate.
Praising the works of Civil Defense Organisation, President Ersin Tatar said: “The Civil Defense Organisation Directorate has an important role in the national defense of the TRNC.”
“The Civil Defense Organisation Directorate’s staff always have been on the side of people at the time of natural disasters such as floods and earthquakes,” President Tatar added.
Welcoming the opening of the newly renovated regional directorate’s office in Lefke—the sixth district of the TRNC, President Tatar stressed the importance of dialogue and communication among the Civil Defense Organisation Directorate, the Security Forces Commander, the Cyprus Turkish Peace Forces Commander, and police.
