TC leader Ersin Tatar met with Assistant Secretary-General for Europe, Central Asia, and Americas at the UN Department of Political Affairs Miroslav Jenca.
The meeting, which started at noon at the Presidential Palace lasted about an hour.
The Special Representative and Head of the UN Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus Colin William Stewart, and the Turkish Cypriot leader’s Special Representative Ergün Olgun were also present at the meeting.
Following the meeting, Assistant Secretary-General Jenca who spoke to the press said his meeting with the TC leader Tatar was transparent and sincere. Jenca emphasized the commitment to the continuation of dialogue. Referring to a solution to the Cyprus problem, Jenca expressed the belief that a solution perspective will be for the benefit and welfare of both sides on the island.
Ahead of his meeting with the Turkish Cypriot Leader Ersin Tatar, Jenca had met with the Greek Cypriot leader Nicos Anastasiades.
The Assistant Secretary-General for Europe, Central Asia, and the Americas at the UN Department of Political Affairs Miroslav Jenca had last met with the two leaders on the island in July.
