Lefkoşa District Office: Public warned not to approach or touch bullets they may come across!”

The Lefkoşa District Office has issued a public warning regarding unexploded bullets that have been detected in the Beyköy Heavy Weapon Shooting Range. Members of the public have been warned that if they come across any unexploded bullets to be cautious and refrain from approaching or touching them.
Anyone who may come across any suspicious objects, such as bullets, must immediately report their whereabouts, for them to be safely destroyed. Contact numbers:

In a written statement by the Lefkoşa District Governor’s Office, it was noted that artillery fire was carried out in the mentioned region on 26-30 December 2022 and 9-13 January 2023.
Unexploded bullets and their whereabouts could not be detected despite all searches.
