Lady Gaga was seen in the role of Harley Quinn with Joaquin Phoenix in a frame from the upcoming Joker: Folie à deux released Tuesday.
The film’s director Todd Phillips shared the image of the characters, with the caption, ‘Happy Valentines Day.’
The actress-singer, 36, was seen in the shot with her blonde locks pushed back as she held Phoenix’s face while staring into his eyes.
The shot of the New York City native, whose real name is Stefani Germanotta, drew a number of excited reactions in anticipation of the sequel to the 2019 film.

Tuesday’s was the latest in a series of posts those involved in the project have shared to social media in the early stages of production.
Phillips in December shared a shot of Phoenix – in character while seated in a barber’s chair as his face was shaved – to mark that filming had begun.
The movie, which also stars Zazie Beetz as Sophie Dumond, will film in both Los Angeles and New York, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Phillips past worked with Lady Gaga on the 2018 film A Star Is Born, which garnered her an Oscar nomination for Best Actress.
She won her first Oscar in the category for Best Original Song for the film’s Shallow, along with Mark Ronson, Anthony Rossomando and Andrew Wyatt.
She is currently nominated for Best Song at next month’s Oscars with BloodPop for the single Hold My Hand from Top Gun: Maverick.
Gaga last summer confirmed she was taking on the role in the follow-up to the initial film, which made more than $1 billion worldwide, according to Box Office Mojo.
Phoenix won the Academy Award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role for his portrayal of the titular character and his alter ego Arthur Fleck.
Phillips was nominated for Best Director and Best Adapted Screenplay (with Scott Silver).
Joker: Folie à deux has a release date of October 4, 2024.
