Police report that 7 people were arrested following two separate police raids in Gazimağusa, yesterday.
According to the police press bureau, a cannabis type drug weighing around 7 grams, 100 milligrams was confiscated by police during a police operation at an address where six people were residing.
An investigation is ongoing following the arrests.
Meanwhile, in another incident, an individual was searched following suspicious movements at around 6.30 pm, yesterday on Hasan Barbaçolli Street of Gazimağusa, and 5 grams of drugs believed to be cannabis and a grinder were confiscated for further inquiries.
The individual was arrested and questioning into the incident is continuing.
