The walled city of Gazimağusa has been damaged due to heavy downpours. The side of Akkule was destroyed due to heavy rains. Besides Akkule, damage occurred in other places as well.
Vice Chairman of the Gazimağusa Walled City Foundation (MASDER) President Serdar Atai, in a statement, referred to the destroyed places and said that it is normal for such damage to occur due to heavy rains, but the demolition of the repaired part of Akkule is thought-provoking.
