Volunteers are being sought for September in line with the Marine Turtle Conservation Project (MTCP) which is carried out by the Cyprus Marine life Center in the Karpaz region- affiliated with the Taşkent Doğa Park.
Although the project broke a record with more than 1500 nests this year, it was noted that due to this unpredictable density, daily support is needed to support turtles to come out of their nests and meet with the sea.
According to information provided by the Taşkent Doğa Park, help is needed to assist experienced team members who will be working at the Ronnas camp for a minimum of 7 days in September to help release the turtle hatchlings into the sea.
For applications and information send an e-mail to [email protected] or send a message to the Taşkent Doğa Park Facebook page.
Noting that the work to be done is tiring but exciting and rewarding, the announcement adds that the DoğaPark will provide accommodation, food and transportation to the beaches from the Ronnas camp with a limited number of spaces available.
