Victims of mixed marriages will be protesting in South Cyprus tomorrow

Victims of mixed marriages of only one-sided Republic of Cyprus citizenship who have filed court cases against their children not being entitled to the Republic of Cyprus citizenship and therefore obstructing them from receiving EU citizenship will be protesting in South Lefkoşa tomorrow.

According to the information received, the protest will begin with a meeting at Ledra Palace at 9:30 am tomorrow and will continue with protestors crossing over to the south of Cyprus. A press release in front of the Cyprus Ministry of Interior will be held.

All victims of mixed marriages and human rights defenders from the north and south of the island are invited to participate. Support of anti-racist organizations sensitive to human rights from both the north and south has been requested.
