The National Unity Party (UBP), the Democrat Party (DP) and the Rebirth Party (YDP) are attending the International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP) held in Istanbul.
According to a written statement by the UBP Headquarters, the conference to be attended by the three parties is taking place on 17-19 November.
During the meetings attended by 52 political parties from Asian countries, UBP General Secretary deputy Oğuzhan Hasipoğlu and deputy Yasemin Öztürk, DP deputy in charge of Foreign Affairs Salih Çeliker, and deputy Türker Yılmaz YDP deputy and General Secretary Talip Atalay and deputy Erşah Yılmaz were present.
Along with the conference themed “The Role of Political Parties in Strengthening Global Peace, Prosperity, and Cooperation”, it is the first time that political parties from the TRNC are attending thematic meetings.
Party representatives had the opportunity to conduct lobbying activities during meetings with the chairman and secretaries of other parties for the TRNC to take the place it deserves in the international arena. The UBP delegation also met with the Azerbaijan diplomat, Secretary-General of the Turkish Council and Ambassador Ramil Hasan and invited him to the TRNC.
