Tuesday Road closures due to TRNC’s 39th-anniversary ceremony

The police have announced  that the road between the Gönyeli roundabout and the junction at the Honda Traffic Lights in Lefkoşa will be closed to traffic from 7 am on Tuesday, November 15th in line with the 39th-anniversary ceremony of the establishment of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
Alternative routes for drivers have been given as follows:
Drivers heading towards the Organized Industrial Zone will be redirected to use the junction in front of Altınbaş Petrol Station and the Central Prison.
Drivers coming from Gazimağusa and heading towards the Near East University Hospital will be redirected towards the Lefkoşa North dual carriageway and Near East Boulevard.
Drivers coming from Gazimağusa and heading towards the capital Lefkoşa will be forwarded to take a left from the Hamitköy roundabout and another left from Mimar Mehmet Vahip Avenue and Şht. İsmail Beyoğlu Street or turning left at the Honda Traffic lights towards Mustafa Ahmet Ruso Street.
Meanwhile, drivers arriving from Gazimağusa and heading towards Güzelyurt will travel via the Lefkoşa Northern belt highway road, connecting to the Gönyeli roundabout or the Citroen Traffic Lights junction on the Lefkoşa Mehmet Akif Avenue connecting to the Metehan-Alayköy belt dual carriageway.
Drivers travelling from Güzelyurt and heading towards Lefkoşa will be routed via the Alayköy-Metehan roundabout or the Gönyeli roundabout connecting to the Dr Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital.
Those travelling from Girne and heading towards Lefkoşa, using the Boğazköy-Dikmen road, will be guided through the Lefkoşa Organized Industrial Zone route, via Altınbaş Traffic Lights junction.
Drivers using the Girne-Lefkoşa dual carriageway will be able to use the Gönyeli roundabout towards the Dr Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital Road.
The police also announced that in line with the 39th anniversary of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) ceremony program the road between the Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) roundabout and the fountain roundabout on İsmet İnönü Boulevard and the Baykal roundabout will be closed to traffic from 12 pm on Tuesday, November 15th until the end of the ceremony.
Drivers using these routes have been urged not to park their vehicles on the specified roads and to be cautious and follow traffic signs to prevent traffic congestion.
