The head of the Northern Cyprus Solidarity Association of Russian Speakers Marina Kocadal said that she called for direct flights to be realized between Russia and North Cyprus adding that this situation will have a positive impact.
Speaking to the AA (Anadolu News Agency), Kocadal said that having a direct flight between their country and the place they live will please them very much.
Pointing out that North Cyprus is also an advantageous place for trade, Kocadal praised the natural beauty of North Cyprus stating that they work, live and carry out trade here.
Non-stop flights will provide convenience for traders and tourists and there are many Russian citizens living here too, Kocadal said adding that it would be wise to have direct flights between Russia and North Cyprus for those living here.
Noting that businessman Mergen Hudeynazarov was carrying out business between North Cyprus and his country for 5 years, Kocadal said that direct flights between the two countries are not only their request but the request of Russian citizens living in Cyprus.
Also giving another example, Kocadal said that Russian national Madina Özyiğit has resided in North Cyprus for 9 years and due to the problem of no direct flights they had no option but to take connecting flights to their homeland which was a very tiring procedure.

Meanwhile, Russian businessman Mergen Hudeynazarov for his pat explained that there has been trade between his country and the administration in the north for the past five years and that the request for direct flights between Russia and North Cyprus was not only his personal request, but also the request of Russian nationals living in Cyprus.
Russian national Madina Özyiğit who has also resided in North Cyprus for 9 years referred to the problem of no direct flights adding that they had no option but to take connecting flights to their homeland which was a very tiring procedure.
