President Ersin Tatar called in and donated his three-month salary to earthquake victims. Noting that “the TRNC is raising funds for a thousand container homes for quake survivors in Türkiye,” Tatar said: “Once more, I offered my condolences to the Turkish people over the deadly earthquakes. Our volleyball team was also trapped beneath the rubble in Adıyaman. We lost a total of 50 people, including 24 children, in the earthquake. Our prayers are with Türkiye. Tonight, I donated my three-month salary. We will heal the wounds of the earthquake together. We are a strong nation; we are an inseparable part of Türkiye as always.”
