October inflation announced at 3.42 percent

The Statistical Institute of North Cyprus announced the cost of living for October as 3.42%.
10-month inflation of 81.64% and annual inflation of 120.72%, was recorded according to data published on the North Cyprus Statistical Institute website.
The highest price increase of the first three goods in the consumer price index, compared to the previous month was the hiring of football fields by 85.82%, children’s wool sweaters by 85.54%, and cucumber by 82.50%.
The lowest price increase of the first three goods in the consumer price index was Lemons at 45.05%, Pomegranate at 44.30% and Lettuce at 31.76%.
In terms of main expenditure, the highest increase was clothing and footwear in its category by 28.54% compared to the previous month, and food and non-alcoholic drinks in its category by 5.97%. entertainment and culture in its category by 4.57%, furniture, home appliances and services in its category by 3.61%, transportation by 2.29%, various goods and services by 2.44%, the health sector in its category by 2.07%, communications by 1.76%, alcoholic beverages and tobacco by 1.00%, education by 0.32%, housing, water, electricity, gas and other types of fuel 0.01%.
In terms of the main decrease in expenditure, restaurants and hotels in its category fell by 0.10%.
An increase was observed in the average price of 469 items and a decrease in the average price of 85 items included in the index, in comparison with the previous month.
