‘Imagine’ project to continue in the 2022-2023 academic year

It has been announced that the ‘Imagine’ project will continue in the 2022-2023 academic year.


The program is for primary, secondary, and high school education levels, the announcement by the Association for Historical Dialogue and Research reminded (AHDR). Teachers who are interested in the program can fill in the application form sent to schools, with school administration permission and forward it to [email protected].


‘Important project’
‘Imagine’ which is an Educational Program on Anti-racism Education for a Culture of Peace was launched in October 2017 and aimed at increasing contact and cooperation between communities of Cyprus. The project, from the very beginning, has achieved in bringing together more than 6000 students.


The first phase of the project consists of a peace culture/anti-racism workshop held in a classroom and then a workshop in the Buffer Zone, depending on the choice of the groups or participation in sports activities with Peace Players Cyprus. According to age groups, students and teachers can further their participation by engaging in sustainability activities, walks in Nicosia, or educational trips.


The ‘Imagine’ project is run by the Association for Historical Dialogue and Research (AHDR) and Home for Cooperation, under the auspices of the Bicommunal Technical Committee on Education. Funded by the Federal Foreign Office of the Republic of Germany, the project is supported by the United Nations Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus (UNFICYP) and the UN Office of the Special Advisor (OASG).
