The Council of Ministers has approved a decision for a protocol to be signed between the government of the Republic of Türkiye and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) on the allocation and right to use of Geçitkale Airport between to the Turkish Cypriot Peace Forces Command.
According to the decision published in yesterday’s official gazette, the Ministry of Public Works and Transportation was authorized on the signing of a protocol.
In the decision, the protocol was prepared to develop the existing friendship and brotherhood relations and to develop military training and cooperation activities between the armed forces of the two countries between the government of the Republic of Türkiye and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
– The contract signed with the Resource Consulting Ltd has been terminated.
Meanwhile, the Council of Ministers has terminated the contract on the “Convention on Giving the Operating Rights of the TRNC Geçitkale Airport” signed between the Ministry of Public Works and Transportation and the Resource Consulting Ltd.
