Erhürman “We cannot accept people illegally being brought from Bangladesh to be enrolled in universities”

Leader of the Republican Turkish Party (CTP) Tufan Erhürman said on social media that according to police claims 322 Bangladeshi origin suspects who are enrolled as students in universities in North Cyprus.
Noting that the incident is at court, Erhürman’s statement is as follows:
“Police in court claimed that 322 people from Bangladesh have been brought to North Cyprus and enrolled in universities by some suspects. Unfortunately, none of the Bangladeshi people continues their education. Some are working in the construction sector and another 22 are in prison. Furthermore, these foreign individuals are being illegally led to pass over to South Cyprus… The issue is at court. We will see the results”, Erhürman said adding to the importance of creating clear criteria with the governance of both sides on the island for students arriving in Cyprus from third-world countries. The CTP leader said that if the arrivals of third world people enrolling in North Cyprus universities is not brought under control, the reputation of universities will be damaged, there will be an increase in crimes, the economy will be negatively affected and hosting human exploitation will take place. We will never allow this to happen, Erhürman said.
