‘Dummy Police Vehicles’ applied in many countries around the world to crack down on speeding has also been implemented in North Cyprus as of October 21st 2022.
According to data, it has been observed that speeding violations in North Cyprus have decreased by 38% since the dummy police vehicles were put in place.
It reports that while 629-speeding violations were reported by police between October 15th-21st 2022, a week before the ‘dummy police vehicle models’ were placed, data proved that this number was reduced to 390-speeding violations from October 22nd-28th 2022 after the dummy models were placed.
