Drugs detected in Gazimağusa, Lapta, and Gemikonagi!

A total of 1 kilo 830 grams of cannabis, 3 grams and 500 milligrams of methamphetamine, believed to be a drug type were taken as evidence following a police raid in Gazimağusa, Lapta and Gemikonagi.
According to information received by police, a cannabis (herbal cannabis) type drug weighing approximately 1 kilo 800 grams was found in a vehicle driven by a 36-year-old following a police raid (Yosun Operation) yesterday around 1pm in Gazimağusa by the Prevention of Narcotics and Snuggling Team. The person in question was arrested and an investigation has been filed.
Within the scope of another operation carried out by the Prevention, Narcotics and Smuggling team in Lapta, a 38 and 50-year-old, were caught with a substance believed to be a methamphetamine type drug weighing approximately 3 grams and 500 milligrams, rolled cigarettes believed to contain synthetic cannabinoid type drugs mixed with tobacco, and narcotic drugs. Sensitive scales and a pipe, believed to be the remains of the substance, were also found and taken as evidence. The persons in question have been arrested and an investigation continues.
Meanwhile, a 19-year-old in Gemikonağı was also taken into custody for having a substance believed to be a cannabis type drug weighing approximately 30 grams and cash of 1300 TL believed to have been obtained at home following a police raid. A 25-year-old, believed to have connections has also been taken in for questioning.
An investigation is ongoing.
