Eight people were arrested in separate incidents in İskele and Girne following a fight that flared up over a debt issue.
Police reported on the incident that erupted last night in Girne between three people from one side and three people from the other side over money matters.
One person attacked another person with a knife, the police reported. The injured was taken to the Lefkoşa Dr Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital with injuries to his hip but was later discharged following treatment and later taken into custody.
Meanwhile, two people were also arrested in İskele last night over a money dispute. One of the individual’s fingers got broken during the incident, police report.
