A 25 -year old individual that attempted to smuggle a bag of food and beverages containing drug-like pills to a 27 -year –old, who was brought before the court in Lefkoşa yesterday has been caught.
The police that detected pills believed to be a drug substance hidden in a juice carton has been confiscated.
According to information received from the police, arrests were carried out against the individual responsible for the attempted struggle and two other people, a 42 and 47 -year -old that were found to have connections with the incident.
Following the arrest, 18 more pills believed to be drug substances that were found at the residence of the 47-year-old in Gazimağusa yesterday were also taken away.
An investigation continues.
