The Nicosia Turkish Municipality (LTB) has determined Merkez Lefkoşa (the open market space in Nicosia, Küçükkaymaklı) as the new Earthquake Relief Centre.
Following the devastating earthquakes of Kahramanmaraş, Turkey, the local government and people of Nicosia have been working relentlessly to provide the affected areas with the solidarity and support they need. Within the given scope, a campaign was initiated by the Nicosia Turkish Municipality (LTB) on the very first day of the disaster, which led to the collection of a trailer full of donations with the support of fellow citizens, private establishments and other organizations. In the aftermath of dialogues with Turkish officials, it has been decided that the campaign initiated by the LTB will continue.
The donations will now be collected at Merkez Lefkoşa (the open market space in Nicosia).
As a result of deliberations following the first day of the campaign, Merkez Lefkoşa (the open market space in Nicosia) on Özker Özgür Avenue, Küçükkaymaklı, has been determined as the new Earthquake Relief Centre.
The campaign, titled “Nicosia Stands With You”, will be run by LTB starting from 8th February, Wednesday. Donations will be collected between 8:30 am – 7.00 pm at the relief centre based in Merkez Lefkoşa (the open market space in Nicosia). The centre can be reached via +90 (548) 863 0582.
Urgent needs include blankets, heaters, dry foods, and thermal materials of sorts.
It is highly important that donations (among which blankets, heaters, dry foods, and thermal materials of sorts have been listed as urgent needs) are NOT second hand and in good condition.

Duvets, Pillows, Winter coats, Sweaters, Socks, Mittens, Scarves, Berets, Shoes, Winter boots, Underwear, Personal hygiene products, First aid materials and kits, Folding chairs, Folding tables, Camping chairs, Outdoor heaters, Sleeping bags, Tent floor padding and mats, Battery powered lighting equipment, Solar powered lighting equipment, Torches, Tinned food, Baby food and formula, Milk, Biscuits, Batteries, Powerbanks, Raincoats.
