A miracle in Antakya

“It was a miracle indeed. It is truly a miracle that he survived in that hole for 22 days without eating or drinking anything.”
A dog named Alex was rescued after being trapped under rubble for 22 days in Türkiye’s Antakya province following the major earthquakes that struck the region on February 6.

His owner, Murat Arici, asked rescue teams for help when he heard the voice of his Siberian Husky under the debris of a demolished 2-storey building.

Volunteers from the Animal Rights Federation (HAYTAP) managed to pull the dog out from the rubble following a 2-hour rescue operation.

Although Alex lost weight in the past 22 days, his general health remains stable.
