The 99th anniversary of the proclamation of the Republic of Türkiye will be celebrated in Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus with ceremonies and a series of events.
The celebrations to mark the 99th anniversary of the declaration of Türkiye’s Republic will start today at 13:00 hours with the televised speech of Turkish Ambassador to Nicosia Ali Murat Başçeri and the fire of 21 gun salute.
A number of activities are organised in capital Nicosia and other districts due to the Republic Day of Turkey.
Parades, band concerts, sports activities, dance shows will take place tomorrow across the country in the scope of the celebrations and poems will be read, speeches will be delivered during the ceremonies to be hold in front of the Monuments and Statues of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the founder of Türkiye’s Republic.
“29 November Republic Day of Türkiye has a place in Turkish Cypriot history”, reiterated President Ersin Tatar in his message issued on the occasion of the Republic Day of Turkey.
“Republic of Türkiye has been the source of inspiration for TRNC fact which is the biggest, acquired merit as a result of the national struggle waged by Turkish Cypriots” he stated.
We have the national pride and enthusiasm of celebrating the 99th anniversary of the proclamation of the Republic of Türkiye, established on October 29, 1923″, he said.
He also remembered with respect and thankfulness the founder of the State, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and his fellow fighters, in his message.
