Republics Assembly begins on October 3

The Assembly of the Republic will begin its work for the new legislative year on Monday, October 3rd.
Parliamentary Speaker Zorlu Töre said that a very busy schedule awaits the assembly.
Six draft laws were referred to the General Assembly of the Parliament in the new period, Töre said.
Referring to the decision on local elections and the unification of municipalities, Töre said that the draft law for local elections was discussed. Although the law on the unification of municipalities was passed by the general assembly it was taken to the constitutional court by the main opposition, Töre said adding that they were waiting on the outcome.
