The Olive Harvest Festival, organized for the 3rd time this year by Ecolive Olive Gardens in the Akdeniz village, will be held this Sunday.
According to a statement by Ecolive, the event will be held in an area surrounding hundreds of olive trees. Cultural, artistic, and traditional activities will be displayed at the festival.
The festival will feature many foods, beverages and crafts from ancient history.
Acrylic and watercolour painting on canvas by painters Svetlana Kostina and Ekaterina Shenaeva will be exhibited at the entrance of the festival.
Those attending will have the opportunity of tasting the wines of the Gillham Vineyard, which is considered as the pioneer of the island’s wine culture. In addition, the Cyprus Turkish Chamber of Industry will have a stand set up presenting an olive sapling and informative brochure to children participating in the harvest.
