President of the Economy, Finance, Budget, and Planning Committee of the Assembly, UBP Deputy Resmiye Eroğlu Canaltay announced that the 2023 Fiscal Year Budget Draft will be discussed in the committee on Thursday, November 17.
Speaking about the work of the committee at Bayrak television (BRT), where she was a guest, Canaltay said that the Finance, Budget, and Planning Committee, which is the permanent committee of the Assembly, is carrying out an important task for the country’s economy and financial structure.
Announcing that the committee will begin to consider the 2023 budget shortly, Canaltay said, “As per the law, the 2023 Fiscal Year Budget Draft must be submitted to the Parliament by the Council of Ministers by October 31st. “As a committee, we will hold our first meeting on November 17.”
Canaltay pointed out that the world, and naturally the TRNC, is in a difficult economic period and stated that everyone should work harder on projects that increase the income of the country.
