The Turkish Cypriot leader Ersin Tatar will pay an official visit to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan following the earthquake disaster that occurred in the Republic of Türkiye. Tatar will express the Turkish Cypriot people’s sadness, solidarity and condolences for the pain experienced due to the disaster.
According to information received by the Presidency, the Turkish Cypriot leader Tatar will depart for Istanbul from Ercan Airport at 11.40 am on Saturday and will meet with the President of the Republic of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at 6 pm local time.
Tatar will return to the island at 11 pm the same evening.
Tatar is expected to make a statement to the press before his departure and upon his arrival at Ercan Airport.
