The fire which broke out this morning in an area that is difficult to reach, in the village of Fasoula in Paphos, was brought under control.
According to Cyprus news sources, 10 hectares of wild vegetation, dry grass and trees were burned as a result of the fire. Fire fighters are being kept in the area for precautionary measures, it has been reported.
Head of Cyprus Fire Brigade Andreas Kettis said in a statement that the location of the fire was unreachable and that extinguishing efforts are highly challenging.
