The Minister of Economy and Energy Olgun Amcaoğlu expressed his happiness regarding electricity being brought from Türkiye to North Cyprus via cable.
Amcaoğlu said that bringing electricity from Türkiye to the country via cable will strengthen the country.
Emphasizing that electricity interconnectivity with Türkiye would be a very important development; Amcaoğlu said that this project would not only connect north Cyprus but the entire island to the European electricity grid.
Minister Amcaoğlu also expressed the belief that the European Electricity System Operators Association (ENTSO) would not cause any problems in the interconnectivity of Türkiye and Cyprus.
