Lefkoşa Turkish Municipality (LTB) Mayor Mehmet Harmancı met with Germany’s Ambassador to Lefkoşa Anke Schlimm.
During the meeting, Harmancı gave information on the projects of education, culture and youth that the municipality will carry out in 2023.
“The EU needs to play a more active role”
Harmancı said that the EU should play a more active role in its relations with the Turkish Cypriot side and that more support should be given to local government projects.
Harmancı also stated that as in the past he was open to dialogue with the German Embassy.

The German Ambassador to Lefkoşa Anke Schlimm congratulated Mehmet Harmancı on his re-election as mayor and wished him success in his new term in office.
