Interior Minister Öztürkler “4041 people benefited from the immigration amnesty”

Interior Minister Ziya Öztürkler, emphasized that his priority was the security and peace of the country.
Öztürkler made statements on a television program on BRT.
“The operating of the e-Visa Automation System has begun”
Minister Öztürkler stated that the e-Visa Automation System will strictly control entries to the country, at seven different checkpoints and monitor foreigners entering the country.
-“So far, 4 thousand 41 people benefitted from the immigration amnesty”
Minister Öztürkler said that 4 thousand 41 people had benefitted from the immigration amnesty, which had been enforced for the last time, to register foreigners who are in the country.
Referring to those involved in criminal matters or residing irregularly or those with problematic issues, Öztürkler said that around 4,900 people had been deported.
-“Spatial Address Registration System Project” (SARS)
Öztürkler also made a statement regarding the census (survey to record population) and pointed to the importance of the serious duties that fell upon the municipalities in the country. A census can no longer be carried out with outdated methods, such as enforcing curfews, the Interior Minister said. He said that by completing the Spatial Address Registration System Project (SARS) via municipalities, healthier and more dynamic data with contemporary methods will be accomplished.
Street and household numbers will be processed, personal data will be matched, and the number of workplaces, students, citizens, and buildings in the country will be up-to-date with the SARS Project, Öztürkler said.
