ECHR Loizidou decision confirms IPC effectiveness

The Foreign Ministry has announced that measures taken by authorities in North Cyprus on the IV Greek Cypriot and Loizidou case have proved to be sufficient by the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) and that the investigation has been closed following a decision by a human rights meeting by a delegation committee of the Council of Europe.
The ministry stated that this decision has once again proved that the property regime established in North Cyprus is in line with international law.
The decision taken at the meeting in Strasbourg on September 20-22, has once again proved the effectiveness of the Immovable Property Commission (IPC), the ministry said.

It underlined that the decisions of compensation and exchange to be carried out by the IPC Law were as valid as the return decision.
