A motorbike driver was injured in an accident in the very early hours of this morning in Gönyeli.
According to a police report, the accident took place on the Lefkoşa – Güzelyurt Highway at around 1 am.
The driver of a vehicle heading west, who was said to be under the influence of alcohol hit the rear of the motorbike registered PN 685 of the driver Amir Khan (E-31) who was heading in the same direction.
Motorcyclist Amir Khan, who was injured as a result of the accident, was taken to the Lefkoşa Dr Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital and is being kept under observation in the Neurosurgery ward.
Following the arrest of the driver, police filed an investigation into the accident.
