KTHES “All hospitals will be on strike!”

The Cyprus Turkish Nurses and Midwives Association (KTHES) announced that it will start a protest against the government’s decision to cut salaries, starting tomorrow and will file the issue to the Constitutional Court.
President of KTHES Ibrahim Özgöçmen issued a written statement on the legal decision regarding the salaries of public sector employees and pensioners.
Özgöçmen said that during the day they will file a lawsuit to the Constitutional Court for the cancellation of the decision adding that all sectors, in general, will not be working overtime as of tomorrow and that strike action will be held at the Girne Akçiçek Hospital from 8 am -1 pm tomorrow.
Özgöçmen stated that if the process is prolonged, strike action will be held at all hospitals.
