A fire broke out in an area, difficult to reach, this morning in the Fasoula village of Paphos, reports say.
According to Cyprus news sources, fire extinguishing efforts are continuing by air and land. 4 fire engines from the Cyprus Fire Department, and vehicles and 2 aircraft from the Cyprus Forestry Department are battling to put out the fire.
Tractor owners are also carrying out efforts to extinguish the fire and officials from the Civil Defence are on alert, it has been reported.
Cyprus Fire Brigade Spokesperson Andrea Ketti explained that the fire was in an unreachable area and that carrying out fire extinguishing efforts was extremely challenging.
