The Lefkoşa Turkish Municipality (LTB) has restructured an area on the Şehit Ecvet Yusuf Avenue that was left abandoned for years and has designed the Kızılbaş Park saying that it will be extremely beneficial for the capital of Lefkoşa.
The Kızılbaş Park will be opened to the public on Thursday, June 23rd. The park has a wide walking path; children’s play areas, sports areas, basketball and beach volleyball courts, a skating rink and areas for eating and drinking. The Kızılbaş Park will also have an amphitheatre for concerts and performances to be held.
As part of the opening event, the LTB has organized a special program. There will be face painting for children and music by DJ Serdar Eren. Four different events will take place in different areas of the park as of 7 pm as part of the opening organisation.
In a statement, the LTB said that all of the events will be open to the public and expressed the expectation that those who live in Lefkoşa will share the excitement of the opening of the Kızılbaş Park.
