Water distribution to Gazimağusa was interrupted yesterday due to excavation work being carried out on the main line, reports say.
According to a statement by the Gazimağusa Municipality, the water in the district was cut off completely yesterday morning due to work being carried out at the Iskele Long Beach bridge point. The State Hydraulic Works will give information on how long the excavation work will continue and when the supply of water will be distributed again.
Meanwhile, consumers were urged to be vigilant in using water as it was not clear how long it would take for the water supply to be back on.
