Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu stated that the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) being granted observer status in the Organization of Turkic States has strengthened the organization’s access to the Mediterranean.
Speaking in the wake of the tripartite meeting of Transportation and Foreign Ministers of Türkiye, Kazakhstan, and Azerbaijan held in Kazakhstan, Çavuşoğlu stressed they have taken important steps aimed at the improvement of the trade cooperation and transportation connection between the member countries.
“The observer status granted to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus in the Organization of Turkic States reinforced the access of the organisation to the Mediterranean. Similar steps within the scope of the organisation will continue,” he said.
