The Minister of Labour and Social Security Hasan Taçoy received a delegation from the World Bank.
According to information received from the ministry, Taçoy held a meeting with a delegation of the World Bank economists headed by Goran Tinjic, the head of the World Bank’s Southern European and Asian Countries Unit who is carrying out contacts on the island.
During the meeting, data compiled with the results of a household budget survey on workforce market policies, unemployment data, minimum wage determination principles, and the creation of programs related to welfare benefits were taken up following data exchange with the Statistical Institute.
Taçoy who gave information about the work of the Ministry and its activities said that the World Bank delegation vowed to provide all kinds of support to the relevant projects if an EU budget was foreseen in the future.
