North Cyprus Petroleum Association has warned against all kinds of shock actions, including the closing of fuel stations, on grounds that payment deadlines by main suppliers are being reduced.
Petrol station dealers in protest refused to purchase fuel from K-Pet on Monday and K-Pet closed off its automatic channel system for direct sales.
According to the statement by the North Cyprus Petroleum Association, a meeting was held yesterday with the participation of 40 K-Pet petrol station dealers, as the payment term for fuel purchased from K-Pet had been reduced from 21 days to 7 days.
Dealers who attended the meeting unanimously authorized the Board of the North Cyprus Petroleum Association to hold shock actions including the closure of fuel stations.
