September inflation announced at 3.08%

The Statistical Institute of North Cyprus announced the price increase in September as 3.08%.
A price increase of 3.08% was recorded in September, the 9-month inflation at 75.64% and annual inflation at 120.32%, according to data published on the website of the North Cyprus Statistical Institute.

The main price increase of categories in the consumer price index compared to the previous month was education with 40.17%.

An increase was observed in the average price of 485 items and a decrease in the average price of 100 items, according to the general expenditures.

The highest price increase was recorded in Theatre tickets by 233.33%, private tutoring fees (university preparation) by 143.64% and studying fees (pre-primary education and primary education) by 129.93%.

In terms of the first three goods with a price decrease, (TR) lottery ticket prices fell by 40.00%, lemon prices fell by 32.69% and salad rocket by 32.30%
