The Meteorology Department warned that heavy showers or thundery showers are expected to be effective in local areas as of 6pm today to 6 pm tomorrow with rain between 21-50 kilograms per square meter. Very heavy rain is predicted for Karpaz with rain between 51-75 kilograms per square meter.
The Meteorology Department reports that the region will be under the influence of a low-pressure system with a cool and humid air mass on Tuesday December 20th.
Temperatures will be 2 to 3 degrees above seasonal norms, and winds will be northerly and easterly moderate becoming stronger at times.
It is expected to be partly cloudy with thundery showers today.
