Many areas will experience 7-hour power cuts today

The Cyprus Turkish Electricity Authority, (KIB-TEK) announced that many areas will be affected by 7-hour power cuts today.
It reports that some villages under the Gazimağusa district will experience power cuts from 9 am- 4 pm today.
Power in Sütlüce, Pınarlı, Ulukışla, Aslanköy, Aslanköy military facility, Gönendere, Tirmen, Tirmen water pumping facility and the Ergenekon village will be affected today due to work being carried out on the medium voltage electricity network.
Power will also be cut off from 9 am to 4 pm today due to work being carried out on the Yılmazköy transformer station.
The areas to be affected: Gürpınar, Yılmazköy, and Türkeli, the facilities areas between the Türkeli junction on the Lefkoşa-Güzelyurt main road and Zet Karting, Alayköy and Metehan border crossing area, and the south of Yenikent Vedat petrol station.
The public has been warned to be cautious and act as if there is electricity at all times, as the flow of electricity may be delivered earlier or later than the specified time depending on the course of the work.
Meanwhile, power at Dikmen, Taşkent, Güngör and Boğaz will also be affected today between the hours of 9 am to 4 pm due to work being carried out on the Dikmen transformer station.
KIB-TEK district chief issued a list of areas to be affected:
Inside the area of Boğazköy village, Lefkoşa, Girne main road Boğaz Junction and Hediyem Su area, Pınarbaşı and Kömürcü, St Hilarion area, Security Forces Command (GKK) division headquarters, Ağırdağ, Aşağı Dikmen, Yukarı Dikmen, Yukarı Dikmen water wells region, Yukarı Dikmen herd area and Dikmen Kırıkkale military, Dikmen primary school, inside Dikmen village, and Dikmen rural land area, Taşkent and Dikmen Cemsa homes, Güngör and Güngör quarries area, and Alevkayısı.
