The terrifying underground sound of the 7.7 magnitude earthquake that shook Kahramanmaraş, in Türkiye was shared by experts from Kocaeli University.
Stating that the sound of the earthquake has been made audible, the Geophysical Engineering Research Assistant Dr. Hamdullah Livaoğlu said that this technology contributes to the characteristics of the frightening sound of the earthquake. He added that the audio sounds heard in the form of high-pitched crackles that record the earthquake signal, forced the dynamic ranges of the seismometer.
