“Protest held outside Ministry of Education”

The Cyprus Turkish Secondary Education Teachers’ Union (KTOES) and the Cyprus Turkish Education Teachers’ Union (KTOS) will be holding a protest action in front of the Ministry of National Education today due to problems at schools not being solved.
The ministry is lacking the vision and purpose to increase the capacity of schools, the unions are cited as saying.
In a written joint statement, the Cyprus Turkish Secondary Education Teachers’ Union and the Cyprus Turkish Education Teachers’ Union said that they will not allow the Atatürk Teachers Training Academy (AOA) to be closed down.
The protest action will take place at 1.30 pm today.
