Ombudsman Varol “Investigation has been launched on sea water pollution”

An investigation has been launched regarding sea water pollution at the Girne Kaşgar Court area today.
Ombudsman İlkan Varol was visited the area received first-hand information from the Director of the Environmental Protection Department Emir Akyıllar, Branch Manager of the Girne Municipality’s Sewage Works Ahmet Türker and other officials.
Issuing a statement to the press, Ombudsman Varol said that an investigation has been launched and will continue in line with the Ombudsman's legislation. The report of the outcome of the investigation will be shared with the public once it has been submitted, Varol is cited as saying.
