“Old £20 and £50 banknotes will be withdrawn from circulation”

The North Cyprus Central Branch of the Central Bank and Operations Directorate has announced that the old paper 20 and 50-pound banknotes will be withdrawn from circulation and will no longer be legal tender as of September 30th.
The Central Bank has noted that the 20 and 50- pound notes that will be withdrawn from circulation will only be accepted until September 15.
Those who have the old 20-50 banknotes should exchange them by applying to banks.
