"No suspicious or diagnosed monkeypox cases"

Health Ministry Undersecretary Deren Oygar stated that there have not been any suspicious or diagnosed cases of monkeypox in North Cyprus.
Stating that the Health Ministry was carrying out initiatives for the supply of monkeypox vaccinations, Oygar said that they had requested vaccinations from Türkiye and the European Union.
Oygar also announced that the Health Ministry has prepared a ‘monkeypox patient information leaflet’ in Turkish and English following the monkeypox outbreak being declared a global emergency by the World Health Organisation (WHO). “So far, there has not been any suspicious or diagnosed cases of monkeypox in the country”, Health Minister Undersecretary Oygar said adding that they were in close contact with the Bicommunal Technical Committee on Health, experts from the European Union (EU) and the Ministry of Health in Türkiye.
