Met Office: Heavy rain warning!

The head of the Meteorology Department Raif İlker Buran warned that rainfalls will be effective until 9 pm tonight. Buran called on the public to be cautious against floods, landslides, and lightning. Stating that the rainy weather will end after tomorrow, Buran said that skies will be mostly to partly cloudy until January 24. New precipitation forecast is expected from the 24-25 of January onwards, he said. Stating that December was not according to the Meteorology predictions, the head of the Met Office Buran said that the lack of rain was due to the blockage of the high-pressure system. This is the second warmest December since 1941, he said. -“Temperatures will be around 17-20 degrees Celsius as of tomorrow” Head of the Met Office Buran, said that rain in North Cyprus in January is normally around 74.9 kilograms and that this amount was already reached in the 16 days of January. Buran said that by the end of the month, the rainfall is expected to exceed expectations. As of tomorrow temperatures are expected to be around 17-20 degrees Celsius. Northerly and easterly moderate winds are expected to get stronger with a stormy effect.
